You can’t go wrong with a grilled skewer of glazed Yakitori chicken. A sweet glaze of soy sauce, sake, and the Japanese cooking wine mirin coats these tender chunks of chicken. Grilled with scallions.

Can choose between salted or teriyaki flavour.

Umami Don

(うまい味丼)

Umami is a savoury taste that is one of the five basic tastes (together with sweet, sour, bitter and salty). Umami has a mild but lasting aftertaste that is difficult to describe. It intensifies the other basic tastes and gives the don an explosion of flavours.

Ten Don

(天丼)

Ten Don, otherwise known as “Tempura Bowl” has a crisp assortment of prawn and vegetable tempura laid over a bed of rice, covered in a delicious light dressing (Tare) which is made from dashi-stock, mirin, soy sauce and sugar.

Can be served without prawns and more vegetable tempura for those veggie lovers.

Beef Short Ribs Don

(カルビ丼)

Carefully selected beef short ribs marinated in a fragrant sauce made from soy sauce, garlic, sugar, sesame oil, rice wine and hot pepper paste. When cooked on a griddle, the meat is cut in thin slices across the bones. This permits the marinade to penetrate the meat faster. It also allows the meat to cook more quickly, creates a more tender cut, and makes it easier to eat the finished dish with chopsticks.

Tofu Teriyaki Don

(照焼豆腐丼)

Six pieces of tofu (soybean curd) are basted with a sauce made of shoyu and sugar then lightly grilled and drizzled with teriyaki sauce. A tasty and healthy dish for vegans and non-vegans alike.
